About Walter

Classically trained, I started selling Kenco Coffee in retail in 1982, then across foodservice and vending ingredients over the next 11 years with numerous man-management and National Account roles.

Following this, I was recruited to join Gardner Merchant to head up their National Vending sales force, as Sales Director for 4 years.

In 1997, I started my own national vending operating business, starting with Cadbury's snack machines in NCP car parks and Homebase, building the business up to a 3,500 snack/drink/hot drink business. The focus was on leisure centres, travel and universities - one of the first to use telemetry from BT. I also operated 800 Walls/Ben & Jerrys machines in airports, hotels and leisure.

As the vending industry evolved, I then created SV365 Technologies to stay ahead of the curve with technologies advancing and began selling Micromarket and Smart Fridge technologies to the vending and catering sectors. This also included being UK distributer for Televend (telemetry) and Worldline cashless payment terminals.

When Covid struck, we pivoted SV365 to focus on Automated Hot Food Courts, bringing 24/7 automated hot food solutions to the NHS and education sectors, a business that is continuing to thrive and grow, widening sectors to include workplace, travel and leisure (again!)
